“Chasid portrait” by Israeli contemporary artist Ora Nissim. The old men with the Torah scroll looks like he is flying in his prayer. Using a combination of stains and paints, the painter creates flaming, luminous background. We focus on the eyes of the chasid, his thoughts surround him. As the artist has described her art: she paints "Judaism today and in the future", not "Judaism of the past". In the colorful painting she shows the joy of the G-ds worship. Grown up in the Jerusalem neighborhood “Mea Shearim”, Ora Nissim depicts "feeling and movement, that are hidden behind that black clothing".
